Does anyone know of an album he released in the 70's which included the songs: Open up your Heart, Got to have you, Sun Shiny Day. I think it had a white cover. It was great but I have misplaced it over the years.

Hi JB and WELCOME! This album you have misplaced, was the album cover white with just G. Wayne's face on the front? I'll give Wayne a call a bit later today and ask him about it. I'll get back to you. Sounds like a sort of compilation album to me. . . I have been pushing to release a CD of pretty much the same. I have compiled the songs but only trouble is finding the music in pristine condition to be lifted off and remastered. All the Master tapes to this music have been lost through time. Such is the way of it. So, I shall let you know as soon as I can. PS. And wasn't his version of "Got to have you" just Stunning?

Hi again JB! Just asked Wayne about the album you would be enquiring about and he said it was the "G. Wayne Thomas" album. If you look on the main page of this forum, right down the bottom on the right there is a photo of this album cover. Great news is that thanks to a wonderful man in Coffs Harbour NSW who had a pristine copy of it, it would be VERY possible to remaster it and release it on CD (just as Crystal Voyager has recently been done). I hadn't thought of re releasing this album. What do you feel about that idea?

Thank you very very much for going to the trouble of tracking this album down for me. My husband and I would be over the moon if you could release this album. I know many of our friends would love to hear it again. Much appreciated.

This album should to be released on CD. I guess there are others like me coping with a much played vinyl disc that's past its best.

I have the album you are talking about however it has been tucked away in a cupboard with my favourite memories of the 70's and I can't part with it.
I am part of a large travel forum for people who love to cruise on ships and a thread has just started on "what songs are you listening to today". I put up on our forum the you tube version of "open up your heart" as it is my all time favourite song and I thought I would google G Wayne Thomas to learn a little bit as that last 40 years has just zipped by so quick.
The words to "open up your heart" hold a special place in my heart.

Hi Glenda,
What a great idea to passionately throw "Open Up Your Heart" onto the Travel Forum. Yes, like for you, this song is one of those rare ones that I'd like to call 'Healers', because there is something so Uniquely Magical about it. There is a warmth that seems to seep into the depths of my middle, as it transmutes the yuk feelings in my psyche (even if I wasn't aware I was feeling them) and then by the end of the song my whole perspective and energy has shifted, and I feel warm, uplifted and inspired, wondering why I don't put the song on more often. So yeah, it's definitely a 'Healer'. AND the other amasing thing about these sorts of Healer songs, is that it has this effect each and every time I play it, even if that means 7-8 times in a row. Thank you for sharing your passion for it here on the Forum. This is one of the selfish reasons I got this Forum for G. Wayne Thomas happening, and that is so we can all express what we feel about the man's awesome music. And also for me to see that I am not alone with how I feel about it. When I read expressions such as your own, it feels like what I feel and it uplifts me and makes me feel good. So this must be a good thing then. Keep pluggin' that song out there! And Welcome to the Forum! BJ.
